But first, ... some overview comments and photos about the subdivision as a whole.
This subdivision in Dawson County is divided into a couple sections, and I am focusing here on the higher-end portion of the development.  In that part of the subdivision, many of the home sites are on the golf course, or have a water view, or both.  The land is gently rolling, and most of the lots seem to be well placed so that the back yard is relatively level while the grade (if there is one) is primarily to the front of the home.  The setting is quite attractive.  In fact, from the parking lot of the clubhouse I could actually see a mountain range in the distance even though it was a hazy day.  I was told that Home Owner Association dues are $500/year.

  there's a good sized clubhouse with pro shop and restaurant;  nearby are tennis courts and a swimming pool  
water &/or fairways are visible in many places within this section of the subdivision, with numerous home sites still available
  the East Ridge is the higher-end section of the Gold Creek subdivision
